AS Dwyfor Meirionnydd MP | Arweinydd Seneddol Plaid Cymru Westminster Leader 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
We’re only on day two of 2026 and the infighting has already restarted.

New year, same old Labour.

In May, the people of Wales can vote for a Plaid Cymru government - one that will always put country before party and demand better for our communities.

Dim ond yr 2il o Ionawr yw hi ac mae’r rhwygiadau mewnol wedi ailddechrau yn barod.

Blwyddyn newydd, yr un hen Lafur.

Ym mis Mai, gall pobl Cymru ddewis llywodraeth Plaid Cymru - un fydd bob amser yn mynnu gwell ar gyfer ein cymunedau.

The justice system is failing people in Wales.

Gwenno Ephraim’s story is one example of how failures in the system are having devastating impacts on people.

Plaid Cymru is calling for full devolution of justice to fix these structural issues and deliver joined-up solutions.

Mae'r system gyfiawnder yn methu pobl yng Nghymru.

Mae stori Gwenno Ephraim ond yn un enghraifft o sut mae methiannau yn y system yn cael effaith ddifrifol ar bobl.

Mae Plaid Cymru yn galw am ddatganoli cyfiawnder yn llawn i drwsio'r problemau strwythurol hyn.

Mae’r uchelgais i haneru trais yn erbyn merched o fewn degawd i’w groesawu.

Ond ar ôl tan-ariannu cronig, mae dyfodol nifer o sefydliadau Cymru mewn perygl.

Rhaid i'r Llywodraeth sicrhau bod gwasanaethau yn derbyn cyllid hirdymor fel bod dioddefwyr yn cael y gefnogaeth maent ei angen.

The ambition to halve violence against women and girls within a decade is welcome.

However, after years of chronic underfunding, many Welsh organisations’ futures are at risk.

The UK Government must ensure that services receive long-term funding so that victims can access the support they need.

Reform’s former leader in Wales, Nathan Gill, has been sentenced to over ten years in prison after he took bribes to spread pro-Russian propaganda.

Wales stands with Ukraine.

It’s time for a full investigation into Russian interference in our democracy.

Jury trials are not the problem, chronic underinvestment is.

Our courts, such as Caernarfon Justice Centre, are processing fewer cases because of crumbling buildings, staff shortages and high workloads.

Scrapping jury trials won’t solve these fundamental issues.

Tanfuddsoddi cronig yw’r broblem, nid rheithgorau.

Mae ein llysoedd, gan gynnwys Canolfan Gyfiawnder Caernarfon, yn prosesu llai o achosion oherwydd adeiladau sy'n dadfeilio, prinder staff a llwythi gwaith uchel.

Fydd cael gwared ar reithgorau ddim yn datrys y problemau sylfaenol hyn.

On #WorldAIDSDay, we remember the lives lost to HIV-AIDS and stand in solidarity with those living with it today.

Today is also a chance to raise awareness, educate, and break the stigma to help prevent the spread of HIV and to protect future generations ♥️

Starmer's panic speech today to shore up the Chancellor and her Budget will do nothing to rebuild what little trust his Government had left.

People deserve transparency, and a Government that’s focused on improving lives – not one that keeps taking with scant returns.

The circus of leaks, briefings and U-turns is no way to build confidence with the public ahead of Wednesday’s Budget.

When public services are already on their knees, Labour’s chaos has made matters worse.

Wales deserves better.

Calling Nathan Gill ‘ancient history’ is a cynical attempt to sweep a politically-threatening truth under the carpet.

Gill was a trusted ally of Nigel Farage.

We need a full investigation into Russian interference in our politics - the people of Wales deserve transparency.

Labour acts to help commuters in England, but has never offered the same support in Wales after 26 years in power.

Instead, Wales is still being denied the £4 billion owed from HS2.

This is a serious question of fairness, and where Labour's priorities really lie.

Labour are dancing to the tune of Reform's cruel agenda on asylum.

These proposals, including confiscating personal belongings, will punish people who have already endured unimaginable hardship and will create further divisions in our communities.

Plaid Cymru rejects such performative cruelty.

Labour is enabling Farage’s agenda by trading principles for soundbites.

Rules and controls are necessary - but rules without humanity corrode trust and fuel division.

The measure of a civilised country is not how many people it turns away but how it treats the most vulnerable.

Powers over policing must be devolved to Wales.

As the UK Government scraps Police and Crime Commissioners, devolving the entire justice system to Wales makes logical sense.

Rachel Reeves says “we must all do our bit.”

People in Wales already have done their bit – paying more while wages stagnate and living standards decline.

The super rich are protected, the rest pay the price.

The Chancellor’s Budget must address these fundamental inequalities.

People in Caerphilly were fed up with Labour taking Wales for granted and rejected Reform’s hate.

Ahead of next May’s crucial election, Plaid Cymru will work tirelessly to win people's trust across Wales with hope.

Plaid Cymru today held a debate on coal tip safety.

Not a single Reform MP bothered to turn up.

As they head to the polls tomorrow, voters in Caerphilly should remember how little Reform care about Welsh postindustrial communities.
As we remember Aberfan, we are reminded that Wales’ coalmining communities still live in fear of another disaster.

While Reform are calling for the reopening of Wales’ coalmines, they couldn’t even be bothered to show up for this debate on the safety of our coalmining communities.
