Hi Katy, another line of attack ...

UK Supreme Court's salve to trans folk saying you still have protections holds no water once you realise that trans have to out themselves to sue for "sexual discrimination by association"

I'm old enough to remember anti-trans activists saying "no-one is talking about taking rights away from trans people" and here we have an EHRC commissioner saying "yup, we've correctly taken away their rights"
"Transgender people must accept a reduction in their rights after the supreme court decision on gender because they “have been lied to over many years” about what their rights actually were, one of the commissioners drawing up the official post-ruling guidance has said."

The #EHRC Chair must be a credible, impartial arbiter of human rights - with a clean record on equalities. Mary-Ann Stephenson cannot be that person.

Well, Guardian. Are you enjoying your victory? Without your perpetual transphobia corrupting the minds of the centrists, the destruction of our human rights would still be seen as a far-right project.

@theguardian.com please share these facts. We are being horrendously gaslighted by our own EHRC.
Trans people were lied to??
Using services based on “self ID” (the gender role in which they present) regardless of GRC is right there in the EHRC’s 2011 Code of Practice.
It’s in the EHRC’s own 2022 guidance.
The Labour Gov recognised this too a matter of months ago.
This is horrific gaslighting.

I just received a message letting me know about a successful use of this email template.

The venue initially seemed to be following EHRC ‘interim guidance’ after an initial phone enquiry.

Following up using this caused the venue to make a complete U-turn with written confirmation 🙌

We can play football with a nation engaged in genocide. But we can't play football against trans people who have done nothing wrong. The Football Association is a disgrace.
1/ Today on the 1st day of pride month and the day before Emily’s birthday the FA ban on trans women in football starts.
This ban has broken my daughter in a way I didn’t think she could break. The pain and sorrow she felt at the end of her last game was soul destroying to witness.

Your words may be kind but your actions betray you, Labour.

Streeting's war on trans youth, Starmer's cruelty to trans adults, and your u-turning on your manifesto promise to "remove indignities for trans people who deserve recognition and acceptance" is shameful.

Hi Katy,

I noticed you use the term epigenetics in your podcast. If referring to hormone regulated gene expression then ChatGPT recommends using the term **genomics** instead.

Love your work,
Bye.

Beyond Parody. The "Gender Criticals" have been complaining about "erasing women" for years and now they finally win in taking our rights away and the first official response is to remove facilities for women and make them for trans people. Who is this even for
Apparently, we have the first case of “malicious” (or benevolent) compliance of EHRC’s “bathroom law”. Scottish Parliament estate just designated three cubicles in the Ladies as gender-neutral… and that’s it.

@katymontgomerie.com I made a campaign video re Supreme Court. Jolyon Maugham has established the nature of the stitch-up. The explanation is complex but I have simplified to a video (taken from Sigourney Weaver Aliens film)

bsky.app/profile/simo...
The Supreme Court switched off the requirement to interpret Equality Act with regards to the Human Rights Act.

In order to produce Bathroom Bill.

A total stitch up, and a dangerous precedent for they can do this any other time.

Here is campaign video.

Huh, fancy that. He was also fighting the rights of gays and lesbians as recently as 2022.

Lord Hodge, who gallantly came to the defence of lesbians & their right to SS relationships in Wednesday's judgement was not quite so open minded about Bermudian lesbians right to SS relationships in 2022 when he chose to uphold a ban on same sex marriage.
