I bought a Tesla because it was fast like a rocket ship. But now every time I drive it, I feel like a rolling billboard for a man dismantling our government and hurting people. So Tesla, you’re fired!

New ride coming soon.

"One by one, the premises of Britain’s 2016 decision [for Brexit] are crumbling. Britain cannot thrive alone and in the cold. It’s not ideology or idealism, but hard-headed, practical common sense to say our place is in Europe – and to say so now."

A useful thread about the 'Farage riots'.
We have had a press briefing with senior police officers and commissioners about the ongoing investigations into the riots that followed the Southport attack

Here are the key updates:
🚨1,590 arrests, 1,015 charges
👮‍♂️17% of those arrested were children, 46% were 18-35 years old

From speaking to a number of farmers it seems to me this is the issue the Treasury doesn't account for: farmers have been pushed to over-extend themselves to get income from the cheap-food system. www.newstatesman.com/business/eco...

“So it’s not about you, it’s not about your farm and the fact you bought a farm to avoid inheritance tax?”

@vicderbyshire.bsky.social speaks to Jeremy Clarkson at the farmers’ protest in Westminster where thousands of farmers are protesting the government’s inheritance tax plans.

Not a farmer, never been a farmer, actively responsible for Brexit resulting in reduced farm subsidies and the hit to the economy making tax rises more likely...

I'm amazed that they tolerate him there.

I have very little empathy for farmers today.

This is what they overwhelmingly voted for.

We were repeatedly told 'we know what we voted for!'

Someone now has to pay the cost.

And here it is...

If they want get angry, They should be angry with the people that told them Brexit was a good idea!

Here's proof that Brexit is directly responsible for the rise in net immigration. The simple truth is that we need foreign workers – and while EU workers generally came alone, workers from further afield need to bring their families with them. Otherwise, they won't come.
