According to multiple NYT sources, it wasn’t even military personnel at Fort Bliss that fired an anti-drone laser at alleged cartel drones. It was CBP who used the weapon on loan from DoD against a child’s party balloon they mistook for a drone. The Pentagon gave CBP an anti-aircraft weapon.

I am starting a studio! We are small and scrappy and have no money. Why am I doing this? Because the only ones who can protect art are the ones who value it. Disney using AI? Yuck. Netflix buying WB? Also yuck. In 10 years what is even going to be left.

Finished my first run through Absolum (took at least a dozen goes, probably closer to 20) but damn that game rules. I mostly played Galandra and had a great time, by the end I was constantly spawning chain lightning, had a ghost sword, and threw thorn daggers like a machine gun.

All I can see a guy like that capable of imagining is using their existing IP to make the crappiest Dead By Daylight knockoff and tank the studio in less than a month after launch.
You KNOW he still thinks a live service will totally work in this current market. He wouldn't pay attention to it!

I honestly couldn't imagine a modern sorta mainstream (Shonen Magazine!) release doing even that groping in the first 5 minutes, let alone all this nightmare shit I'm now hearing about.

Anyway I think Zach Snyder's Randian takes of superheroes hit for the exact kind of repulsive person aching for these kind of power fantasies, which thankfully was never enough of an audience to make back their budgets.

The other month I watched a video essay about why nazis are attracted to MLP and K-On and at the start he brought up Catcher in the Rye (which I had never read) and how there's a small group of men that REALLY click with the odious main character and his hangups.
