BETTER YET, LET'S GET THROUGH THE FUCKING MIDTERMS HAPPENING *THIS YEAR* BEFORE WE EVEN BEGIN TO START HAND-WRINGING OR FINGER-POINTING ABOUT WHO WE'LL NEVER VOTE FOR IN 2028.
Hey Bluesky, let’s have a frigging primary before we decide which end of the Democratic Party doesn’t vote for the other end’s candidate in the general.

I'll believe ICE and CBP are out of Minneapolis when the citizens of Minneapolis say so, and not one second before.

I’m waiting to find out how many members of our vaunted media or their owners show up in the Epstein Files. The way they’ve boosted Trump the last few decades tells me, we may be in for some surprises.

Just a couple of years ago we enjoyed an underrated president who brought unemployment down to the lowest levels seen since Bill Clinton’s tenure.

The fact that they are too lazy to vote is what is most disappointing of all

If they truly were a citizen valuing their home and what they’ve built they’d do the simplest of all their duties

Esp the ones in more privileged areas
And just a side note: If voters stopped being idiots, every election would stop being life-or-death. Voters CREATE these situations with their failure to vote, and their consistent wasting of votes on 3rd parties, or actually voting for the "death" party.

Reading Robert Duvall’s wife is 41 years younger than him set off a train of thought and a memory of my little 8 year old son, commenting on a friend who was dating a woman 30 years younger. “It’s like, he’s a grown up man holding a little tiny baby and saying ‘I’m going to marry you one day.”

I have written and called my own governor of New York State, Kathy Hochul, to do the same.

Once again, Susan Collins has caved to Trump and is supporting efforts to rig the rules and silence voters.

Maine has one of the highest voter participation rates nationwide –– and as Senator, I'll fight like hell to protect your right to vote from attacks on our democracy.

Our mainstream news media is owned by the alt-right oligarchs, the same ones who bought the presidency for the bloated toad - our news is whitewashed & repressed.

Our news won’t even air coverage of Italians physically protesting & attacking ICE in Milan! Italia is responding as WE should be!

This duet cover of Radiohead's "Creep", between a son and his Shastriya Sangeet classically trained mother, is the mash-up I didn't know how much I needed in my life. Totally spontaneous sobbing may have taken place.

May I add, this is why we have a monster like Trump in power.
I am "thoroughly delighted" by children's laughter, puppies frolicking, and a perfectly caramelized Crème brûlée. I do not need to be delighted by a politician. I need them to have values that (basically) align with mine and to be competent. This is the petulant trantrum of a of a spoiled toddler. 👇

My theory of the moment: The extraordinary courage of ordinary people in places like Minneapolis is reawakening us to our social and economic ties to immigrants. It's making "love thy neighbor" cool again. That's the ultimate antidote to MAGA hate.

Rep. Delia Ramirez to DHS officials: "I have as much respect for you as I do for the last white men who put on masks to terrorize communities of color. I have no respect for the inheritors of the Klanhood and the slave patrol. Those activities were criminal and so are yours."

"If the government may simply seize *someone* without due process, there is no check on its ability to seize *anyone*."

Perhaps the most fundamental check against tyranny. And it is gravely threatened.
BONUS RULING: Judge Thomas Johnston, a George W. Bush appoiintee in West Virginia, used a recent ruling to warn of the dangers of defying due process for immigrants because of what it could also mean for Americans. It's worth a read.
