I am far to be an expert on FLU but this new variant K of H3N2 is quite clear from the @nextstrain.org selecting for month/year

For XFG.10.4 + S:A435S global growth (from Sep onwards) is at 3.4% per day (24% per week). Note I showed this from Aug onwards previously.

Recent samples were all from new locations: Schleswig-Holstein, Centre-Val de Loire, Northern Ireland.

Aldo XFG.10.4 with 435S is expanding. we will see
SC.2 variant updates.
my watch list involves XFG.17.2.1 and recombs, GW.1 and XFW.1.1 , PQ.2.8.1 .
then everything with 679R also outside XFG (PE.1.4/PY.1.1.1)
then some good new things but still to small to say (XFG.9.3.1 , XFG.3+ 189F for example)
Some divergent things(XFY+153V, XFJ.3.1, XFN.2.1)
