The President of the United States just called for Democratic members of Congress to be executed. "HANG THEM", he posted.

If you're a person of influence in this country and you haven't picked a side, maybe now would be the time to pick a fucking side.

AOC to @pabloreports.bsky.social : A swastika is one of the clearest symbols of hatred in all of humanity… to remove that designation… indicates a possible collaboration with those very elements, which I think is genuinely frightening to any American.

From this minister's op-ed: "People wanting to experience God are more likely to meet the Divine trying to shut down the Broadview, Illinois, ICE facility than we ever were in church...God does not live in our houses of worship, but...with those who are bearing the brunt of cruelty in this moment."
Oh wow @reuters.com got the photo here:

Is it too late to push three buttons to turn my car clock back an hour, or do I commit to feeling guilty about it for the next four months?

If you read an amazing article from Teen Vogue about politics in the last several years, chances are that Lex McMenamin wrote it. Any publication that is serious about meeting this moment would be lucky to have them.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

I saw a bunch of random, normal looking people shopping in the posterboard section of the store today.

I don't think they knew each other, but they were swapping notes about craft supplies. I told them I got my flat wooden paint bucket stirrers from the paint section.

those generals do have discipline - no laughing, no applause, they didn't even flinch at a line like this
"The new 'war department' golden rule is this: Do unto your unit as you would have done unto your own child's unit."

When I run for office, I'm going to find the best rival candidate and hype them up so hard, make it my mission to get them voted in.

If they and others catch on and manage to get me elected instead, I will have lost my little game. Bummer, but I guess we'll have learned another way to do democracy.

If you want to help monarchs, destroy Black swallow-wort.

Monarchs get confused because this invasive is a cousin of milkweed, but the caterpillars cannot digest those leaves.

It is the bane of my existence and getting rid of it, when your neighbors don’t care, is hell
"As much as 90% of the monarch butterfly population in some US regions has been wiped out in recent decades, and evidence has pointed to pesticides, climate crisis and habitat loss as the drivers." www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...
