It takes a serious level of cruelty to not only kick millions off their health insurance, but simultaneously tell you where you can and can’t go to get a Pap smear or breast cancer screening — if you’re deemed worthy enough to keep your health insurance in the first place.
🚨The GOP provision to DEFUND Planned Parenthood is staying in the Big Ugly bill. Clinics will shutter. Women will lose access to cancer screenings, birth control, and basic care.
I will be forcing a vote to try to strip it out.

Let's be clear. Any YES vote on HR 1 right now is an uninformed partisan vote on a bill *no one* actually likes, with unknown terms and effects, for the simple purpose of giving an authoritarian leader a symbolic bill signing on July 4th.
Right now, no one knows:
-how large the Medicaid cuts are
-how many people will lose health insurance
-how large the tax cuts are
-who wins/loses by how much
-how much it adds to the deficit
Rs are going at lightning speed BECAUSE they want to pass the “big beautiful bill” before anyone knows

Everything that’s happened over the past six months has been a response to an imaginary crisis. There is no immigrant invasion. No trade crisis. No scientific or governance crisis. Just people completely high off their own supply trying to fundamentally reorder society. None of this had to happen.
