Which of these is the "cause of our division"?

Those who came under the Ukraine Schemes to be protected from Russia's aggression?

Those sponsored to work in the Health and Care sector?

The BNOs from Hong Kong?

The students attending our universities?
Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood made more explicit her argument that when ethnic minorities face racism, "we have no choice but to ask: what is the cause of our division"

Her answer is the level of net migration, 2019-23 causes racism. (She on Monday said it was caused by the scale of asylum)

I’m not sure if there are any new ex-chemtwitter people in this current surge of new arrivals to #chemsky. If you’re new and reading this drop me a line and I can point you in the direction of some lists of other chemigrés.

Layers of gold, a whisper of cool wind, moth wings and a soothing peace.

I hope you can find solace wherever you are.

Working on some academic writing about "bad shark movies," and feeling sad because the bubble may be about to burst.

Sure, 2-headed, 3-headed, 5-headed, and 6-headed shark attack were classics.

But where can they possibly go from here? 7-headed shark attack? No way, that's preposterous.

Well I never... a rainbow appeared before sunrise, created just by the light of an orange and red glow in the east. There's a first time for everything. I've certainly never see such a thing before.

So the lectern photo is genuine - it was taken at St George's Day celebration earlier this year. This is what Starmer said standing there. Seems spot on to me. He should say it again.

I agree with a lot in this article.

The secret weapon is a referendum on European accession.

This would be transformative.

And Labour does sorely need a game-changer.

The High Court judgement regarding Palestine Action's proscription and the enforcement of the order today from is the most extreme application of terrorism legislation we've yet seen in this country. It's so extreme, in fact, that it's causing the law itself to become openly incoherent. Thread🧵🔽

The team, led by Lieutenant Wilhelm Dege, were the last German troops to surrender in WW2, finally doing so FOUR MONTHS after Germany had officially surrendered.

It was not for want of trying. /1

Nothing bad happens if someone doesn't iron their clothes. It is a total eco-hostile waste of time and energy (both human and literal). There should be a worldwide campaign to outlaw it. People could opt to wear a little badge that shows "I'm creased because I care".
