Thanks, and please REPOST!
In Manchester to present a poster touching on my new favourite class of molecules - the semaphorins, baby! Surprisingly few genetic disorders linked to these genes, suggesting (to me anyway) that we're missing stuff. Anyway, SEMA6B truncating variants that escape NMD cause PME11.

Arkell vs Pressdram.
Buckle up - because this now amounts to a direct and deliberate attack on our country and its cultural sovereignty. Which side our politicians take - Trump's or the BBC's - over the coming days and weeks will speak volumes about their patriotism.
Trump says he will sue BBC for at least $1bn over Panorama edit
The US president confirmed he intends to sue the broadcaster for at least $1bn over the Panorama edit of a 2021 speech.

I have to say I am a big believer in the Vicks First Defence spray to nip colds in the bud; wasn't prepared for saline being as effective! Exercise and maintaining activity in mild illness - *definitely* important.
Congratulations to Professor Paul Little, winning Royal College of General Practitioners Research Paper of the Year 🌟

He and his team’s research found that simple nasal sprays, can shorten illness, ease symptoms and even reduce the need for antibiotics.

Hope we’ll be seeing the phrase “Billionaire Sex Offenders” become as widespread as “Asian Grooming Gang” and that white working class salt of the earth heroes will emerge to deal with them and protect our children etc etc

Let me put this out there to my fellow rudderless middle-aged humans: this is where we need your expertise.

Stop the endless doomscrolling and set up neighborhood repair clinics or bike co-ops.

It will keep you out of trouble and focused on improving other people's lives. We call it a purpose.

US Republicans on tenterhooks waiting to see if anyone will blink and force an unstoppable run on Trump Bank. First mover advantage, or will the first to break ranks be the first to fall in the inevitable firefight? Hard to see how the brand could be even more damaged, but deep is the abyss.

Is Trump suing Musk for a billion dollars?
Remember how Elon said that Trump was in the Epstein files and that’s why he won’t let them be released and he apparently knew all about that but then decided to be friends with Trump again a week later so he just deleted that tweet and doesn’t mention it and no one regards that as a bit of an issue

We're all champin' for updates to Durham St...! The screens are down; we can see through the site fencing... so close, we can almost *smell* the end of the grim Sargasso that is the Great Victoria Grosvenor Road Doldrum.

Harsh review of the ASUS C101PA 11'' Chromebook from 2018 - not wrong per se, but I keep coming back to this little semi-obsolete unit because it's so damn portable. And the keyboard is grand, actually. www.techradar.com/reviews/asus...

How a plan to redraw the Irish border fell apart
In the early years of partition, the exact line the border took was still very much up for debate.

If this is true, and like many cults, I suspect it is, you'd be enormously foolish to invest in Tesla, since so many of its eggs are in one basket case.

As many of you know, I love #Nazareth - such a great wee town - but it's always been a bit... shabby. The amazing residents are cleaning it up - click the video, even if you don't speak #Arabic - the Levantine dialect is beautiful.

Wonderfully wet and wild.

Make up all the bug hotels and bird boxes you want, but without way more healthy wild natural habitats like this, nature will continue to crash.

Rewilding is how we make that happen.
