"Don't panic."
Holy crap @politico.com ! "Anti-Trump Video??" Are you serious?

If reminding service members they can (and should) refuse *unlawful* orders is considered to be "Anti-Trump," then what does that say about the Trump administration and its relationship to the Constitution?
Pentagon to investigate Sen. Mark Kelly for anti-Trump video
The unprecedented move comes after the retired Navy captain advised troops they don’t need to obey unlawful orders.

Even if it all stopped tomorrow, I don't think the damage that's been done can be repaired in my lifetime. But at least we could start. Instead, tomorrow will be worse.
A poll from the journal Nature found that 75% of researchers in the U.S. are considering leaving the country. That includes a man who’s been dubbed the "Mozart of Math." (This PBS story on the scientific brain drain is heartbreaking & ominous for medicine, imo.) www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLvO...

You and I will probably not be friends though.

No matter how far they radicalize, we are told over and over again that the people being rude to them are the problem.

This is what I mean by "purity." While there may be a large number of "deplorables" that voted for Trump whom you (and I) may find morally reprehensible, there are plenty of people who voted for him for less nefarious reasons, including ignorance, gullibility, apathy, desperation for change, etc.
I think we can safely come out and declare that, "voting for a bigot and rapist like Trump" is about as disqualifying a choice as a person could make, and that attempting to court people inclined to do that would require moral compromises that should be deemed unacceptable
