That is a ridiculously unjust outcome, too. That ball is half a second from going harmlessly out of play.

This is the biggest problem with this government. They prevaricate and wait to see what others do - their back benchers, the opposition, the US, the EU, other bodies, the people - and then they go along with what causes least hassle or u-turn after backlash. I mean, grow a pair and do what's right.
