Gabriel was colossal at the back – his performance earning him the Player of the Match award – but it was in midfield where the game was truly won. In the absence of Declan Rice, sidelined with a minor knee injury, Odegaard and Zubimendi buzzed around like coked-up hornets. 😂😂😂

Villa started well last night but the threat didn't last. The common take from the game seems to be they were well on top in the first half and it simply isn't true.

Would happily never attend another 8:15 kick off. A shame that fans didn’t feel they could stay to soak in the joy at the end but plenty are going to have trains to rush to. Seems especially inconsiderate when we all know transport can be dodgy at this time of year.
