OTD 1887 Arsenal played their fifth ever game, completing the double over local rivals Erith. This is the earliest known match report of an Arsenal game. Unfortunately, the reporter didn't think to include details such as line-ups and goalscorers' names.

Doing some research on a player that played a few games for Arsenal's 'A' team in 1950 and stumbled across these two chaps. I'm sure their schooldays were absolute bliss.

Arsenal beat Man Utd 3-0 at home on 2 May 1983 in a meaningless league game. Liverpool were already champions and Arsenal were pretty much safe from relegation. A tempestuous game saw Remi Moses sent off meaning he would miss the FA Cup final. Shame.
