OTD 1995, Tony Adams broke the unwritten rule that all Arsenal players wear long or short sleeves depending on what the captain chooses. His team mates wore short sleeves while he wore a long sleeved shirt to cover a plaster cast on his wrist so it didn't look vulnerable to AC Milan players.

OTD 1942 Arsenal gave Watford a right pasting in the London League. Reg Lewis scored five goals as the Gunners won 11-0. Due to the distractions of the war, the game was watched by just 4,671 fans.
