I might argue that nicking food from shops when you’re broke is morally justifiable, but we don’t just get to follow laws we agree with and this is a deeply unwise precedent for a politician to set.

This completely. I grew up surrounded by migrants in my family and communities, and find the discussion in the UK, US and EU that reduces fascinating people into mere fuel for an economic machine disgustingly dehumanising👇🎯
human beings aren't just fuel
to power your money engine

we also need an economic model which is genuinely sustainable, regardless of demographics

the UK 'discussion' about migration, right and left wing, is incredibly privileged and dehumanising

distracting us all from urgent shared problems
A lot of people need to stop viewing migration as an infinity cheat to to beat demographic restructuring.

It's the same mistake as thinking Ireland, Eastern and Southern Europe could be an endless source of cheap labour even as those societies experienced declining birthrates and rising prosperity

If there is an argument then this is the argument. But lol I can’t find where this obviously false stat is coming from. And if the government does believe more than half the families in the UK are using it as their primary news source then woah maybe time to up the scrutiny of it!

Google search gets worse and worse. Has anyone got a better option? Specifically I'm searching the names of my children's Polish ancestors. I quite often got results in the past but now I'm not getting much at all, even the things I used to get.
