6-3 in favor of Trump in the birthright citizenship case—

which at this stage was only about about nationwide injunctions.

But Sotomayor brings it back to what this is really about—letting Trump get away with lawlessness. Her dissent is another banger which she is reading from the bench:

The main upshot of today's birthright citizenship ruling (that I'm still making way through) seems to be that each person victimized by an unconstitutional Trump order has to pretty much sue individually.
Trump is free to act unconstitutionally to everybody individually.

If I pluck a story at random on the Tesla Robotaxi fail, not a single one mentions that the Trump administration and his courts have taken an absolute hatchet to corporate oversight and consumer protection.

Why? It's kind of important context that regulators can't/won't do their jobs anymore?

can’t overstate how shoddy the actual work is. “the framers didn’t think black people counted in the constitutional order” falls apart with a single question: “well what did they think about all the free blacks that most of them lived around, encountered, and even hired for work?”

Donald Trump just unilaterally bombed Iran. A masked gang is terrorizing our streets. America has rapidly devolved into an authoritarian state.

Sit back and do absolutely nothing.

I was waiting for this, and it is about what I expected.

Long and short, people need to stop repeating this without adding that it is utterly unsubstantiated.
I asked ICE where the “413% increase in assaults” justification for its officers using masks came from. They didn’t answer. So I dug into it, and what I found … did not boost their argument.

After ruling the NIH grant terminations illegal, Judge Young ended the hearing with an eye-opening speech.

“This represents racial discrimination, and discrimination against America’s LGBTQ community. That's what this is. I would be blind not to call it out. My duty is to call it out. And I do so.”
THIS IS IT! THIS IS HUGE!!

PLAINTIFF'S WIN!!

Judge Young rules that the NIH grant terminations at issue in these cases are illegal and therefore vacated. BOOM!
"This Court rules that the challenged directives . . . are arbitrary and capricious."

"They are of no force and effect."

"They are illegal and so are each of the terminations before this Court"
