36 now but not telling when that happened.
I prefer being an ambiguous impression rather than give anything away. Good luck :D

It is not too soon to call ICE "detention centers" "concentration camps" nor is it too late to accurately call "juvie and jails and prisons" "concentration camps" too

While cancelling Nitro is all well and good, just a reminder that age verification itself won't go away as a whole unless KOSA, the SCREEN Act, and tons more are buried and done with.

Please contact your reps if you don't want this to spread to other platforms.

ages ago, upon learning that pokemon games' battle, capture, and stat calculation formulas are known and documented, I wondered if it'd be possible to run a tabletop pokemon game by plugging gen 1's math in an excel spreadsheet to automate game-accurate battle calculations

I think it’s supercool of the authoritarian panopticon doorbell company to name themselves after the demon video that kills you in 7 days; almost as cool as the authoritarian panopticon precrime software company to name themselves after the evil demon orb that puts its users in thrall to Sauron.

Its not a direct quote but this other bit that jumps out at me: being conservative was supposed to be "insulation" from the violence. The violence was to be reserved for their enemies, for liberals, for (presumably) urbanites, who most of the people in this town do not regularly interact with!

UI/UX is not just a gloss on some underlying technological malaise. How “usability” is defined is itself ideological. Usable for what? What kind of use does the product encourage?

I promise each of you personally, if Elon Musk said the next big thing was frog ranching, the business press wouldn't just print that frogs weigh 50% more than cattle, they would print an infographic showing the size difference.

there is no extent to which he, in particular, is ever questioned.
I mean, if Musk announced his plan to begin ranching frogs since the average frog weighs 50% more than a cow, you'd think that someone at the FT might pause before putting "frogs, which on average weigh 50% more than cows" in a news story.

This is starting to get like universal basic income where every single objective study shows the same result but the people who don't like that result go "uh, well there's just really no way to know"

Often you hear people single out Fighting Game Inputs as being unfairly difficult, but when you sit down and work through where the trouble with them is, it's not always execution, but a perception of time that is the obstruction. We come into the game with a much smaller idea of how time works.

David MacKay's Sustainable Energy Without the Hot Air from 2009 had graphics such as these to illustrate the footprint of equivalent power production. Joining it onto literal land use seems a small additional step best left to the student.

This supposed history tour is being sponsored by anti-public school zealots, you don’t have to allow them to speak while the regime actively attacks others 1st amendment rights

guys I know "Woke 2" is taking off as a concept but I don't think that necessitates a "Woke 1" that "failed"
insofar as "woke" was co-opted by the right as a catch-all stereotype label, the takes i'm seeing on "why it failed" look indistinguishable from the right's narrative on what "woke" is
