JUST IN: Judge Schiltz cancels Friday’s contempt hearing but lights into ICE, saying the agency may have violated more court orders this month than many others have in their entire existence.

If Melania was a Supreme Court Justice, FedSoc would have bought out the whole theater and offered the tickets free for law students.
Good news for anyone hoping to see "Melania" on its opening night: at our local theater, every seat is still available. 🤣😂

I dislike Paul personally but never let it be said he doesn’t have principles. The bigger question is whether he’s willing to vote those principles.
Rand Paul: "There has to be an investigation. I don't know who trusts an investigation done by DHS when they're the ones calling this person an 'assassin,' a 'domestic terrorist,' saying he was assaulting police. How can they be in charge of an independent investigation? Something's got to happen."

It’s about time that someone uses the word “evil” to describe what Trump is doing in America. We’re well past the point of political disagreements.
These words demand attention.

“In a real sense this is holy ground, consecrated by blood spilled here. The cost is high, and so I had to be here to stand in the very place where this tragedy unfurled… I think we’re at a defining moment for our country…” ~ Rev Warnock

Take a moment, so much more…

So I see that everybody is figuring out that Trump hasn't changed shit in Minnesota except for the public face of the putsch.

Ahh, I guess we've reached the "I was just following orders" part of the process earlier than in Nuremburg.

I was a STEM major and it was truly the humanities electives I took outside my major that allowed me to develop into the (semi) well-rounded individual I am today.
The U.S. has successfully convinced its people that “the humanities are frivolous and STEM is Important and Real” is basically a law of nature: this is absolute nonsense that we should stop putting up with.

Send this to every veteran you know.
Ian Austin, an Army veteran, was arrested for protesting ICE in Minneapolis. But he’s continued protesting. Senior reporter @julialurie.bsky.social spoke to him.

“When they say, ‘Why would you be out here?’ How the fuck could I not be out here?” he says. “My nation is under attack."

Whelp, there is a 5" layer of ice on our front sidewalk that is impossible to shovel. Snow melt is completely sold out throughout the area. And it isn't going to be above freezing for the next week and a half.

The idiot doesn't know that flying an upside-down flag is a distress symbol.
NEW: In response to Alex Pretti's killing, Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves said that it was "really hard to watch" protesters carrying upside-down American flags.

He called protesters "lawless hordes" and said they should go "back to Mogadishu."

He also blamed Pretti for (legally) carrying a gun.

But more seriously, they are doing this because they are fucking terrified. They know they are losing.

Make sure you have cameras recording your doors, and that they both save to the cloud and also locally.

One can't help but think that Stephen Miller "masterminded" this whole New Years Putsch thinking he was going to create some momentum for a stalled fascist consolidation and Minneapolis basically blew up in his face. The question is whether he recovers his standing and decides to try again.

They don't understand courage.

Courage isn't the absence of fear.

Courage is standing and holding the line regardless of fear.

As usual, bullies and fascists are cowards in the face of courage.
The regime obviously thought they'd be able to take out a few dozen scary-queer-weirdo Antifa types in black masks and then successfully cow the rest of the Coastal Elite Liberal class into terrified silence: they were not expecting "totally fearless mass nonviolent resistance by entire cities."
It also sounds like at least some of them thought the cameras wouldn't matter because they were assuming that a couple of public executions would cause all of the resistance to run and hide.
