So, the year is wrapping up and I'm going to be self-indulgent and celebrate what I did this year. From a performance perspective I took my solo show to Edinburgh. Only about 25 people watched it but it was very well received. The @totallyimprovised.bsky.social picked up more award noms and...
I would argue the film is no less violent than any others in the franchise. It is just happening to synthetics with white blood instead of red so doesn't qualify for a higher rating. Plus teens have always been watching these movies so might as well open it up.
Predator Badlands was really fun!

Action was great, leads were great, everything was great.

Obviously it sucks a little that it’s not a visceral R rated blood fest, but that’s not the story they wanted to tell and I’m ok with that.

Recommend.

My head says Princess Mononoke but my heart says Kiki's Delivery Service which is just a warm hug of a movie.
In honor of Hayao Miyazaki's birthday, what's your favorite Studio Ghibli film? Doesn't have to be the one you think is "the best," just the one that nestled in your heart. Mine is Howl's Moving Castle.

If you found out your elected official/someone in power had and addiction that impaired their ability to function you'd probably want them to step down. Addiction to X - and it *is* an addiction - should be no different.

You have to put your ID on file to jack off to actual porn made consensually by adults but if you'd rather beat it to non-consensual nudes of potential minors, that's apparently fine.

Watching the Star Wars prom from this year and they've made some superb choices beyond the original trilogy hits. A lot of sequel trilogy stuff so far which is lovely including a variant on the Anthem of Evil from Rise of Skywalker I hadn't heard before. The ST scores are really spectacular.

We're calling for submissions to the Black Archive from disabled authors and authors of colour, who we know have been underrepresented in the range.

Please spread this as widely as you can, as we want it to reach as many eligible authors as possible. Thank you.

Turns out when Trump said Air Force One was one of his favourite movies he just meant the first ten minutes. He probably fell asleep after that.

I don't have a 4K player but I second this.
I need someone to put Equilibrium on 4k Blu-ray.

@arrowvideo.bsky.social came through for me with the TMNT movies and Conan the Barbarian. Where are they with this one?

Right. I've never seen Stranger Things. Have they stuck the landing and I should start asap (on paper it is very much my kinda jam) or should I continue to sail merrily along?

i think what gets overlooked is that part of the humor and charm of edits like these is that you're perfectly aware that someone sat down and spent their own time making it. they chose to do something cool or silly or stupid or genius, regardless of the results

that human element elevates the work
Who needs AI when we had stuff like this? I’ll take photoshop edits over the slop any day
