I fucking loathe these people with every ounce of my soul. Evil incarnate
they're trying to be coy about salivating over the prospect of raping women, they'll contest that but if pushed to explain, that's exactly what they would describe. forced pregnancy of any kind, by a man or by the state, is gender-based violence

My condolences to all of Jess Ting’s patients. It appears his name is in the Epstein files many, many times and not in a very good light. I won’t publish specifically what is in there, but it’s important that his current and future patients be aware.

Sad to see.

So SIDEQUESTED book 1 is getting some amazing reviews and I'm over the moon, but due to how publishing works they always put the author's name before the illustrator's, and I need to emphasize all of this is because of @alepresser.com

Let me be absolutely clear: SideQuested wouldn’t exist except for Ale Presser. We were working on our first comic for the better part of two years before she told me she had this idea for a f…

Doron Ofir, who runs a casting agency for reality shows and partially operates L.A. Comic Con, exchanged E-mails, letters, & multiple FedEx packages with Jeffrey Epstein.

This should be much bigger in the con community. Should utterly stop traffic to L.A. Comic Con til he's not part of it anymore.
Just two examples here, but there were a number of things FedEx'd between them.

It's clear the increased ICE/CBP funding under Trump is being used primarily as a tool of repression, not as a means of law enforcement, and that's all the more reason why Democrats should use this opportunity—while the public hates ICE and the GOP is on the defensive—to eviscerate both agencies.
ICE used facial recognition software on a MN resident who was trailing agents in her car. Three days later she received an email from DHS saying her Global Entry and TSA travel privileges had been revoked. No explanation was provided.

Okay so I was actually at this encounter, filmed the aftermath, and am briefly visible in this video, and I would point out that what he does here is briefly kick a car twice. ICE beats him up, shoots pepper balls into the crowd, and launches tear gas at everyone else before leaving.
News Movement posted this video of Alex Pretti on Jan 13, showing him spitting at ICE agents and kicking their taillight.

Now conservatives are suggesting this changes things.

That would mean they are suggesting he deserved to be target of an extrajudicial execution.

The video changes nothing.

Indeed. Senate Dems don't even need to say "abolish ICE." They can do their obnoxious "we need to investigate this, come up with reforms" or whatever.

But there is no good reason to rush to whatever compromise the GOP will accept. Dems have the advantage. Use it. Let the GOP stew in their problems.
the first best Senate ask is to split the DHS funding from the rest of the minibus.

It wrongfoots Republicans, it unites the D caucus, and it becomes more compelling rather than less compelling the longer Rs resist it. plus all the minibus components were negotiated separately anyway

This is so good. There are models--and Minneapolis is a great one--of what community and solidarity look like. And those real, existing models are far more compelling to far more people than the blood-and-soil fever dreams of soulless maga ghouls
Last week in Minnesota, I watched ordinary people risk their lives to protect their neighbors. In the process, they not only won a significant—though not final—victory against authoritarianism, they proved virtually every MAGA social theory wrong. (gift link) www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...
