People bet on the color of the Gatorade shower in championship games. Did the 5000:1 “no Gatorade shower“ position just win for the FCS Championship? (It looked like water to me.)

There's been a few car-through-stores around here lately.

We really need to ban stores.

For a guy who people claim is the only one "fighting Trump," Gavin Newsom sure is awfully quiet about Trump's illegal regime change attack of a foreign nation.

Trump could drop a nuke on a major city and we'd be reading tut-tuts about how this sets a "dangerous precedent"

A college football commentator unironically shouted, “Are you not entertained?” Sounds about right for the downfall of an empire!

Captain Ahab is a very Trump-like figure.

This goes through my mind 9 hours and 16 minutes into the Moby Dick marathon (I’m still going!)

Outside this packed auditorium, more people read along in overflow rooms, filling the hallways and exhibit halls with lawn chairs and sleeping bags.

Both teams have gone for it on 4th and short. I predict more of that.

A real news outlet publishing the phrase "Grok apologized" should result in like a week-long timeout. Think about what you've done.

The reason "masks made me go fascist" is so baffling is that it's always a lie.
“having to mask made me go fash” is so common and it’s just baffling

I mean, yes, it was annoying to wear one all the time? it also wasn’t that big a deal? if, today, someone asks me to put a mask on I go “ok” and put one on

and yet so many people treat it as a life-ruining imposition
The reason this Harvard history professor decided he was done with one of the best and most privileged jobs in the world was, in his own words, because he was forced to lecture in a mask during peak Covid.

I’m not making this up.

Carmakers have known all along that dashboard touch screens kill and maim hundreds of thousands of people.

They didn't adapt them because of "consumer demand" for touchscreens. They adapted them because they're cheaper than knobs and dials.

Extend this ethic to all US car manufacturing.
Amazingly, reaction times using screens while driving are worse than being drunk or high—no wonder 90 percent of drivers hate using touchscreens in cars. Finally the auto industry is coming to its senses.
