Does anyone have insight into what that old looking wooden coach might be on the right? I can't make out the letters below the clerestory. From the white paint + appears outdated/secondhand + possible advertisement painted on the side... maybe a circus train car?

This reminds me a lot of the 6 family form of the New England triple decker apartment (basically just two mirrored triple deckers sharing a party wall) that was stacked together vertically. Designed with the same airy ventilated apartments w/ 360° windows and multiple porches. It adds an elevator! 🤩
What can mid-rise housing look like on side streets where lots are redeveloped one at a time? This example is a good one.

Awful. Still, I am shocked it happened here and not the Spencer St crossing which has absolutely terrible visibility onto the bike path due to buildings and vegetation making it very difficult to see if anyone may be approaching the crossing. Plus it’s is always further blocked in by parked cars.

The replacement commuter rail bridges in Lynn (so far, just Commercial St) are being built with provision for only three tracks, instead of the four tracks that the original bridges could hold.
In light of the significant problems caused by single tracking on the Old Colony lines, was this wise?

I had a perfectly ripe, soft and juicy red pear the other night and it put me in such a good mood that I had a great night of sleep. Good fruit is life changing.
There are few better reminders why it is worth being alive than eating perfectly ripe stone fruit.
