That feels both like it's too recent to be 20 years ago but also too ancient to be merely 20 years ago.

every shirt either says “I don’t see what’s funny about that” or has an image of a popular meme from 2013

I remember that I got this guy off the front of White Dwarf magazine, and I think my first paints came in this box set with the brettonian archers.

I don't actually care if Platner is a nazi, he's stupid enough to put himself in a position to have to defend himself against being one due to his own doing and that's someone too stupid to be in public office, sorry. Let him be your fav redditor if you care that much about him

somehow I get the feeling that if Mamdani had a nazi tattoo we'd have simply never heard of him again about 15 min after it was revealed instead of having to read a new piece every 5 days about how he's just a smol bean

I found my first ever painted model again recently, I had no idea what I was doing.

One of the fundamental problems with Stockport politics is that both residents and councillors believe that the median voter is a car.

a stat i always cite is the number of anti-trans articles in the press went from 60 in a year, to 7,500

That blood angels symbol on the shoulder is beautiful, is it freehand?

The real problem with the new John Blanche paint sets is that adding another 20 bottles of army painter paints to my paint shelves will completely mess up my beautifully organised paints.

I'll have AP paints spelling over onto the Vallejo rack which will mean Vallejo will spill over onto TTC, ugh.

I've also seen someone claim the controversy is that volume 3 and 4 aren't great starting points for someone who wants to paint in that style which I cannot understand at all - why would someone start with something labelled as "volume 3"?!?
February 12, 2026 at 12:39 PM
I saw one the other day that was something along the lines of "the most controversial paints are BACK with MORE DRAMA" and it made me want to tear my face off.

I'm glad someone else had the same problem with Vallejo primer that I had, that's why I stopped using it.
February 12, 2026 at 9:28 AM
Argh, skin, not skim. My spelling is atrocious tonight.
February 12, 2026 at 2:00 AM
I don't know if this will change how you use it, but I've found that it doesn't act like the Vallejo brush on primers - they shrink quite tightly and act almost like a skim and I've never had that with the AP one. I suspect they're chemically different but never looked into it.
February 12, 2026 at 1:59 AM
I don't think it needs it as it's quite thing already, but now I think about it I think I've done it instinctively every time I've used it!

Owning your home should be a relatively low stakes trade-off where you accept capital risk and chores so you can put holes in your walls. But we don't live in that society we live in one where people build wealth by getting a mortgage.

I think this is just changing trends within the genre. It's not all romance they're dropping, just historical - and after a bit of reading it sounds like sales of that specific subgenre have been in a decline for a while in favour of contemporary and fantasy romance.

I didn't run the code or anything, and I guess it's possible that someone ran the graph code first before updating the table.
February 11, 2026 at 3:08 PM
tbh I just looked at the upload date on the graph (11th Feb) and then checked the source data table to make sure it includes the 10th Feb poll.

They have a local regression trend line on the graphical summary which is a simple but useful tracker because it's easy to use for longer term historical trends.

Wikipedia's tracker includes polls from 10th Feb, which is yesterday.
