I finally finished the Epic Encounters Local Legends Kickstarter box, and I also did two of the small Heroquest boxes.
Just basic paint jobs to get my to-do list down a bit.

I bought a bag of 8 random t shirts on clearance. Most of them were fine but I also got one of the worst shirts I've ever seen.

I have some spiders and cave goblins that I need to paint up, which seems about right for October I guess.
There's more goblins than in this picture but they're still soaking in soapy water.

I find that it really helps to do it even with normal paints.

It does however include scientist Elvis inventing a miracle substance called goop that makes things indestructible while working as a ski instructor at a Florida hotel (I think he borrows the hotel lab to do it?)

I used 'Data System Glow' on the eyes and 'Power Node Glow' on the bolter sight here, one coat over white. I've not tried them over a larger area yet.

I've had a set of books arrive in the post for another TTRPG that I probably won't get round to playing until next year, but they're very nice books.

I can report that the Glorious Day in the Corps board game steals a lot from space hulk but in a good way, and is it even stealing when Space Hulk was clearly taking it from Aliens in the first place?

It's worth it when you get there so you can have a little Death Guard legion on your shelf that you never play a single game with and then suddenly there's a new edition.

If you go back even earlier the Battle for Calth terminator chainfist leader guy is also perfect for the Death Guard, but he also seems a little bit small in comparison to the newer models, so I made sure mine was standing on a big rock.

I may have slightly too many brushes, and buying cheap brushes in bulk hasn't helped, but at least I'm not going to run out any time soon.
A drawer is a terrible way to store brushes btw, I don't recommend it.

I've been using these sort of sets for a while now and they're really useful.
You're getting what you pay for - these are pretty basic synthetic brushes where the tip will start to hook and curl after some use - but they're extremely useful for doing base coats, washes and glazes, drybrushes, etc.
