It's been an interesting year! Bigger miniatures, army painting, putting the Quickshade Dip back into the rotation, along with lots... and *lots* of chipping and weathering on different miniatures.

I grizzle about a lot of the recent crop of GW kits and wholly unnecessary numbers of parts, but man... whoever made sure the current run of Skaven Clanrats are just two pieces to glue together deserves a raise, a knighthood, and a fatted pig.

If I were the Joker, I'd have spent my time in the carceral system in deep study, working extramurally until the point I could defend a thesis and gain a PhD.
Then *every* encounter with the Bat would be, "Ah-ah-ah! That's *Doctor* Joker!" because it'd drive him bananas.

I always forget that not only do I bloody love the Krakenborn, but so do folks online. It wrecks my head when somebody remembers them - even more so when they remember lore or other details like that!

It occurs to me I do have these photos from... 2017, the last time I actually painted Death Guard for 40k. Still visibly my style, but the green armour is a little flat compared to what I'd do today. I'm interested to see what almost a decade of practice and new paints will turn up!

This guy has always been one of my favourite of the 40k Death Guard stuff. I really love when 'basic' troops in an army still carry some presence and attitude. A little easier with elite stuff, for sure! Looking forward to getting some paint on him.

@tomjmegan.bsky.social completed the Xmas challenge ….. only 1 day behind which is good for me! This was all hand painted using a mix of @sonicsledgehammer.bsky.social tutorial for the colour modulation and Duncan Rhodes Academy one . Went for a summer Sherman will relatively light weathering.

My last project for the year - 10 Solar Auxilia vehicles. This is all the armor from 3 starter boxes I got plus a Malcador. All of these were
partially built when I started, so I'm stoked to get them done by my deadline.
