CMS is saying they can do this because this care is not "healthcare" and thus they aren't regulating practice of medicine... seems like a slippery slope? what stops them from next saying abortion isn't healthcare?
Under the proposed rule issued by the Trump Administration today, any Medicare- or Medicaid-participating hospital would be barred from providing gender-affirming care to *any child*, even if the care is not paid for by Medicare or Medicaid.

Update to the update! Just got off the phone with the surgeon. Everything went VERY well. The affected lobe of the liver was able to be excised with the entire mass and the rest of the abdomen looked healthy. A couple more spots on the liver were biopsied, but he doesn't think they're cancer.
Kaylee update! Still in surgery, but so far, so good. The mass has been removed, but still waiting for confirmation that she's in recovery. More details and a picture of Kaylee being cute this morning at the link.
