#UglyDogs, we've helped support a lot of needs in Alaska during #Igivearod. Here's one worth our attention.
On Sunday AM KOTZ (our public radio station) plays hymns sung in Inupiaq. My dad loves hearing Inupiaq. Another thing we'll miss if KOTZ closes (now slated to close in May without federal funding). They also have a huge stash of "Eskimo stories", all in Inupiaq, that aren't available anywhere else.

#UglyDogs Zeke & I have a routine, almost daily: I get ready for work, he gets a walk, then breakfast.
Every day, this beautiful fool runs past where I’m holding his leash, right to his bowl.
He returns from the kitchen looking confused every time. True “Grinch forgot how to go South” energy. 😂

we often say "the cruelty is the point" regarding the past few years of transphobic policy onslaught, and it is, but it's important to understand that the point of the cruelty is because *they know they have lost*. they're pulling every lever down for a hail mary, but people will keep transitioning.
a lot of cis people seem to respond by saying "well just don't look at the news" or "well stop doomscrolling" as if we share the luxury of being able to put our heads in the sand when our friends and loved ones are forced to make impossible choices.
