Three questions:
1. Is who politicians follow online newsworthy?
2. Is the vice-president more important than a primary candidate to be junior Senator from Texas?
3. If the answer is yes to the first two, why isn’t Axios doing a fuck ton of stories about who JD Vance is following?

Yes - been saying that he's behaving like a mob boss extracting favors and administering punishment for years.
Went back to the history of the Sicilian Mafia to illustrate something obvious but worth stating explicitly: The Trump administration behaves like an organized crime syndicate running a protection racket, not a representative government www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2025/1...

There are many videos of ICE officers doing outrageous stuff but a lot of the absolute worst videos are of Border Patrol, who are basically Bovino and Miller’s most aggressive tool right now.

ICE agents in Chicago violently detain a non verbal autistic man for being “non compliant”
He couldn’t “comply” because of his disability…they don’t care
This is not the first time they’ve gone after a disabled person
They target the most vulnerable because it’s an easy way to meet their quota

TAKEN AT HER COURT HEARING. To all those Americans deceiving themselves that ICE is only going after rapists and murderers, another reminder that’s a lie. They are targeting folks doing the right thing, because it is easier and otherwise they don’t have enough people to arrest. Wake up now.

The problem with "negotiating with Republicans on health care" is that it's worse than dealing with hostage takers. Hostage takers want something else. Republicans don't. They just want to kill the hostages. It's the goal, not a threat. You can't negotiate that.

Several weeks ago, the Dallas police chief announced that he'd declined $25 million to cooperate with ICE through the 287(g) program. Our turncoat MAGA mayor is mad. He called this meeting to discuss it. This is a great thread detailing how a majority of the full council supports the chief.
IDK, but if you demand the meeting, you should attend the meeting, but the mayor is not at this 287(g) discussion.
