The senators are even worse. They have always been able to shut down the floor and force debate on literally ANY issue and they just refuse to do it.

So climate change, universal health care, whatever. If Congress isn't working on it, every member is responsible.

Literally every single person's member is fucking them over right now. It's not even a debatable point. They all have the power to set congress's agenda with impeachment and they are refusing to do it.

There are still way too many Americans that do not realize how badly their politicians are fucking them over.

Everyone hates Congress generally but you still have way too many people who like their individual member for no good reason.

People of all ages are reading less for pleasure. Yes, social media may play a role, but don't forget the way that traditional strategies for teaching reading can make books less appealing to kids. That's the topic of the latest episode of Kohns Zone. Listen here: www.alfiekohn.org/podcasts/

This isn't even really the schools' fault; they're just taking money the state is handing to them. This is happening because, in 2024, the New Hampshire legislature was quietly taken over by an extremist group called the Free Staters, and the destruction of public ed is one of their little projects.
I know there's a lot going on, but over here in my weird little state, our already criminally low public schools budget is being drained by a handful of wealthy private Christian schools, and I think that sucks.

You can reach your Senators at the Capitol Switchboard: (202) 224-3121

Tell them that Congress must stop this war and impeach this out-of-control president who has no respect for our Constitution or laws.

Your calls make a real difference.

Call on your federal representatives to oppose Rep. Mast's bill described here:
"Free speech advocates are sounding the alarm about a bill in the US House of Representatives that they fear could allow Secretary of State Marco Rubio to strip US citizens of their passports based purely on political speech."

The legislation would allow the Secretary of State to strip anyone’s US passport with no legal due process.

It’s long overdue to end forced labor in prisons.

Being anti-expertise is consistent with being anti-education and is another illustration of how all the threads are connected.
The inconsistent part of course is that we are all supposed to trust RFK Jr to make these decisions for us all.
RFK Jr: We need to stop trusting the experts... Trusting the experts is not a feature of science or democracy, it's a feature of religion and totalitarianism.

If you accept the premise that "illegal Migration" is a serious issue, then you are part of the problem. This is a moral panic and every time you affirm it as an issue you play into the signification spiral. Progressives/left must reject the issue itself not just the "solutions" of the right.
