Violence is never the answer, but neither is McCarthyism 2.0. We’ve seen this before, Hold the assassin accountable legally, not colleagues for bad opinions. Free speech means protecting the ugly stuff too.
People are being fired or suspended for posts about Charlie Kirk’s assassination -TV analysts, university staff, even a Marine under review. Violence is wrong. But so is turning grief into litmus tests where a bad take costs your job. We need accountability for threats - not political loyalty oaths.
