Writing a romance novel(?!). Better known for: tech leaderizing, dog loving, nap taking, vegetable cooking, needlepoint doing

Pinned
This is a hard era. But I'm buoyed today by the lessons so many emphasize:

* Picking a lane and working in community is how we make a difference
* Joy is vital, art is critical
* It's unhelpful to be aware of and outraged by every horrible thing

Sometimes, we'll despair. But these truths will help
Please understand this. It's a core piece of why the movement seeks defund policing, not reform it. It's not trainable or reformable
The focus on training misses the mark. Yes, many federal agents are sloppy and unprepared, but years of organizing against police violence have taught me that more training doesn't stop violence. It just makes the death-making more respectable (sometimes) and more expensive.

With ICE and border patrol goons spreading out across the country, I put together a resource guide for buying, printing, and distributing whistles, based on my own experience. Now is the time to whistle up, hope this helps. dansinker.com/posts/202…

Let me tell you about the other Epstein files the Trump administration is STILL HIDING — records that aren’t affected by the bill Congress passed today.

I'm just to the right of the lightning bolt, 100% obscured by other people! This was a lot of fun, I chatted with interesting folx, learned a cool zine folding technique and was heartened to see people out against ICE

Thanks @gregpak.net and co for organizing
Huge thanks once again to everyone who came out to the @handsoffnyc.bsky.social / @bkindivisible.bsky.social event at @anyonecomics.bsky.social. Such great vibes!

The way these people type, it might just have been about Trump blowing bubbles

But either way, good not to forget that *the president of the United States is implicated in child sex trafficking ring*

The GOP believes some people deserve to be poor, and poor people deserve nothing. Cutting off SNAP is consistent w/their twisted values

But I wonder if they'd find it as politically palatable to starve 16M US kids if more Americans didn't support Israel's starving thousands of Palestinian children

A thing I will never understand: Why are Dems so eager to listen to polls and so uninterested in listening to voters?

People just voted against the GOP--and for Dems who will stand up to Trump--in a record off-year election. Why doesn't that mean anything? I'm losing my entire mind

Just called Schumer (202-224-6542) and Gillibrand (202-224-4451)

I am, idiotically, surprised that they're trying to fuck this up now. It seems they will never learn and neither will I. But it felt good to call

Truly everything you need to know about the established Dem party is that Cuomo, now endorsed by Trump and Miller, was a Dem governor of NY and was originally running as a Dem mayoral candidate--and those endorsements have not disqualified him from the party

When you send $ to Dem candidates, they often use it to buy ads on far right-owned media networks like Sinclair. And the ads don't work

A+ thread from @matthew.flux.community on how this happens, why it's a disaster, and what we must do differently. Excellent counter to that "Deciding to Win" trash
🧵There's a pernicious myth that Republicans have more money than Democrats. In fact, Democrats have raised more—including so-called "dark money."

Republicans have less money but understand politics better. This is why they win.
