Guys, mainly, I need your help. This is a thing and we need to call it out. We all know men who punch down with sarcasm to score petty points / boost their fragile egos. It's wrong and can shape the lives of those on the receiving end. It's not 'banter' and deserves challenge. How can we do this?
Reflecting on the microaggressions that women regularly encounter - in my case mostly from older men - when they have visible success or exhibit confidence. Often dressed as a 'joke', but more a subconscious desire to put me in my place. And it sucks. Suggestions on how to address positively pls...

Nigel Farage behaves like he irrationally believes ‘They’ are out to get him.

‘They’ being variously people of colour, Jews, Romanians, the EU, the BBC, Dulwich College alumni, Coutts, the left and Bernard Manning.

Never Russia though, oddly.

Is this something pathological?

Thoroughly enjoyed the Belfast show this evening.

If I had any business offering out recommendations, I would be giving it 5 stars and advising people in Dublin, Limerick and Derry to see if there are any tickets left.
My short tour of Ireland starts tomorrow night in Belfast. 300 tickets sold, with 100 still up for grabs for anyone who’s nearby and fancies it.

After that, it’s Dublin, Limerick & Derry.

Tickets here: brianbilston.com/events/

PS I have some book news to share with you tomorrow.

If the gov’t wants to introduce ID cards because they genuinely believe it will make life better for everyone, make that case.

But…

If they want to do it on the basis it will make life harder for desperately vulnerable people (& that’s what this is), they can get in the fucking sea & stay there.
Well, this is a hot mess of dog whistles and utter nonsense. For a speech claiming to tackle "toxic" and "poisonous" rhetoric Starmer leans heavily into pandering to the usual misinformation about migrants and portraying anti-immigration ideals as "patriotic"
