I've decided that one of the reasons that people aren't buying my books is because they don't really know anything about them, because I'm really useless at publicising my work. But, if I can write threads talking about other people's books, then I can certainly do it for my own. So here goes.

I have just realised that Alison Rumfitt who wrote Brainwyrms has also written the Target novelisation of Doctor Who: Space Babies and my brain is now broken.

Can't wait to mine for genAI NFTs in the metaverse with my VR headset and minting it all on the Blockchain, and in the evening I will count my beanie babies and secure my retirement with big event issues of 90s comics, and invest in sub-prime mortgages and tulip bulb futures. The line only goes up!

It's been a couple of weeks since I had the headspace to be able to write but I managed it today. And I got what I think is a really good joke in there as well. I should finish this section over the weekend and be on to the next one which is, I think, going to be quite big.

I'm watching the first Avatar movie (not The Last Airbender). I'm 41 minutes in and what strikes me is that in among all the beautiful designs and special effects is that it's really boring.
The creatures are all very obvious Earth-analogues. It's the filming equivalent of 'cowboys in space' but /1
