My friend Faith said “It's good it's raining because the hag of winter can't collect her firewood. Therefore winter cannot continue for much longer”
There’s always a silver lining!
How am I meant to have my Imbolc bonfire in this weather?!

Prepare for your mind to be blown.

The oak trees that make up the Undercroft were felled in 1358.

Their size and scale would suggest that they were at least 250 years old.

Which means they were saplings only 40 years after the Norman Conquest in 1066.

Mind. Blown. 🤯

Shakespeare, as ever, saying exactly what is important to me.
Let's go hand in hand, not one before the other.

I would add to that, let's raise others up. Let's support our friends. #womensart

Spring is on its way!
Happy #Imbolc, ushered in by Brigid and her hare. Nature is stirring, there’s a full moon. The winter is ebbing away. The seeds scattered last year are waking up. Pat yourself on the back , you’ve made it through another winter.

Continuous Line Bird was a single, unbroken line drawing I made without lifting pen from the paper. I’ve transformed the drawing into small, home-friendly sculptures, each installed on a solid base of oak, cedar, or walnut.

She gets fed separately so that the others get a chance… albeit it’s just a token gesture to keep them quiet 🤐

These striking objects are Chinese brush rests, which were often made in the shape of a five-peak mountain range.

When scholars wrote with a brush and ink, this practical and ornamental desk accessory would serve as a place to rest the brush during a pause in their writing.
