My vintage hanging baskets emptied - gift from my lovely landlady. 100 years old from a family quinta. This year I had geraniums but will do something different next year. My other baskets need new bases! Grr.

I think the titivating is finished. A lot of things - why do I buy them/good idea at the time - have been passed on. So far so good!

I was forced to use a cone outside my gate to my driveway. I was forever asking people to shift so I could park my 2CV down it. I was frequently told you couldn't get a car down it as an excuse. Even police wouldn't shift them! I put gate in in 1980. Still there!

My old boy fell off my balcony - 4 floors, bounced, rebuilt - and had top of femur removed and sat like that.

Bom dia. Chilly day. Hoping - everything crossed - for kitchen to be finished today. Leroy merlin is a swear word with my carpenter! Cats enjoying chaos. Van needs inspecting inside and out and no wuiet time for snoozing yesterday. All slept like logs on sofa.

The power returned just as my lovely mancarrived to build the kitchen units ready for Monday. We have had storm after storm since. Torrential rain after torrential rain. Thruppence got drenched by not coming in when called. Spent the afternoon recovering and is gently snoring on back of sofa.
