This place is not a place of honor. No highly esteemed deed is commemorated here. Nothing valued is here. What is here was dangerous and repulsive to us.

The best thing about this movie is how much it gets the experience of D&D right, from the obvious DMPC, and the attempts to lay out backstory, down to the obvious crit fumbles and successes. Or the DM needing to come up with alternate plans on the fly.
If we lived in a just media landscape, this would now be a trilogy.

Reddit, not bluesky. r/frasier, of all places.

I said its not a spoiler to note that an actor on one show got an entirely separate role (ie: not a crossover) on an entirely different show.
What’s the funniest reason someone got mad at you on Bluesky this year?

The Oxbow Incident is an old western about a lynching that felt very much like the cynical version of 12 Angry Men--it even stars Henry Fonda--except it predated both play and Lumet film by over a decade.

Wake Up Dead Man is the best of the three. It's an actual whodunnit, I didn't know who had until it was revealed, whereas KO had a flashing neon sign pointing at the killer from the moment they walked on screen and the point of GO is that these geniuses are actually very dumb.

A few years ago my wife got me the complete Sergio Leone Spaghetti Westerns for Christmas and now it feels like a tradition to watch old westerns over the holidays. Any recommendations for we'll say pre-1990s westerns?

James Cameron is complaining that sci fi never wins Oscars which indicates he is somehow unaware of the existence of Everything Everywhere All At Once, the sci fi film that utterly dominated a couple years ago
