I’m sorry to report that the library will only have copies of Herbie Goes Bananas for the foreseeable future. Thank you for the patience while we sort this out.
I will never forget you assholes in the press and online who made these arguments in all three of the past Presidential Elections.

I don’t know how I’ll be capable of dealing with this country if there’s ever a more despicable person in the White House.

No, WB. You cannot get me to care by dangling familiar actors in front of me. The story is done.
Sir Ian McKellen and Elijah Wood will reunite as Gandalf and Frodo in ‘THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE HUNT FOR GOLLUM’

Production will begin in May.

Again, normalizing this stuff as part of legitimate political discourse is shameful & other choices were readily available:
Again, it is utterly shameful & demonstrates the total failure of all of our political institutions that threatening our closest NATO allies with territorial conquest has not immediately ended this presidency.
Denmark lost more troops per capita in the post 9/11 war on Afghanistan. Saying they “are not a good ally” because they won’t surrender their territories to the US is lunacy. We are betraying our allies to satisfy the whims of a would-be Emperor for whom the US is not enough.

"Money can't buy happiness" was meant as an admonishment of the rich. They turned it around to tell the poor to stop whining.

Fun Fact: They did a study in the 2000s and there's a money-happiness bell curve that peaked at $200k/year. More than that, less happy. Less Than $75k, a LOT less happy.
Anyone who says money can’t buy you happiness has never lived a life such that approximately £1200 would fix 90% of your current worries

I am glad my first instinct upon reading these posts was to look it up. Yep, MTV is still there. You may continue with your “MTV used to be about music” gripes rather than penning corporate obituaries.

People need to stop the “Em dash usage seems like AI” nonsense. You want one of the biggest tells for AI writing? I lacks a voice. I have never read a piece of AI “writing” with a POV. Just meandering paragraphs that, at best, seem like someone desperate to reach a required word count.

There are so many other tells for spotting AI writing. Em dashes have and always will be perfectly good tools for writers. (Who do you think these models stole it from?)
Genuine question for those who know...

Does anyone else get weirded out when they see people accuse others of using generative AI for writing because the author uses Em dashes? As in (—).

My whole life, advocating war has been fed to me as “the adult position,” akin to drinking your coffee black or reading the business section of the newspaper. Let’s be very clear — war is the childish nonsense of impulsive destructive idiots playing baby-brained video games with real human lives.

I am amused by how, whenever you point out these actions are unconstitutional, you'll get some Republican like, "Citation needed!"
