When stupidity is considered patriotism, it is unsafe to be intelligent.
Farage also says he always thinks he’s going to win big but he never does. You could have fooled me, he talked us into voting for the most destructive policy in our history ever and has now convinced many of the same fools that he can fix everything.

Monstrous man.
You may have missed this gem yesterday. From which we learn that:

1. Betting shops are really good for the mental health of isolated people.
2. Most drug-takers are not a problem.
3. Kids put tuppence in slot machines in the hope of getting rich.
4. Farage probably has a gambling industry donor.

Why can’t the SFO be proactive and investigate?

I still find it baffling that Robbie Gibb presided over an interview panel that appointed his friend, Michael Prescott, to oversee editorial guidelines.

Why didn’t he declare his interest? In any other industry apart from politics, this would mean dismissal.
It’s already started - the BBC allows Newsmax boss to opine about bias, suggest some of the Jan 6 mob were merely innocent tourists visiting Congress, without pushback

I no longer recognise Britain. Were the people who’ve done this always amongst us?

We’ve reached a point where the only political affiliations that matter are decent and indecent.

If Robbie Gibb and Michael Prescott are friends, what was Gibb doing on the panel that appointed him? He should have stepped down to avoid claims of nepotism.

Gibb having any position where he gets to appoint his mates to senior views is a much bigger scandal.

Once again, this govt fail to realise that when you involve the private sector, it usually results in massive costs (hospitals built under the last PFI scheme cost roughly 70% more than non-PFI hospitals).

Gibb was also heard last year to say that if he didn’t get his way, he would “blow the place up”. It seems clear he didn’t get his way.

I just pray this govt has the courage to fix this.
Should Gibb be sacked? yes, obviously. He's an abomination of basic journalistic standards. His GB News channel spreads conspiracy theory & disinformation. His Jewish Chronicle newspaper spreads invented stories. He is plainly trying to undermine the BBC so it's as bad as everything else he touches.

Or when did Robbie Gibb resign when it came to light that he’d tried to get Jess Brammar’s job offer withdrawn?

It’s so obvious the far right in Britain control the media.
When was the last time anyone at the BBC had to resign for misrepresenting a leftwinger?
November 10, 2025 at 3:33 PM
The BBC chairman of the board said, “It is not our job to determine who who should not be the director of news. That is the job of the director general.”

If that was true, why did Robbie Gibb try to get Jess Brammar’s job offer withdrawn? The best thing the beeb chairman could do now not lie.

Yet more evidence that the UK is being targeted by Trump and his UK-based agents.

It’s funny, the supposedly independent Michael Prescott hasn’t mentioned the promotion of Nigel Farage by the BBC over many years.

Starmer has sold us all out to the likes of Blackrock. His only motivation is winning and, even if voters are not benefiting from growth, he thinks he’s won.

The sooner Starmer resigns, the better. Whoever takes over is going to have a nightmare because Starmer has made things far worse.
In November 2024 Starrmer announced that his government is in partnership with US Blackrock, a mega corporation that buys up just about anything with pension funds, and money from investors/shareholders at a higher-than-market-value value price.

This man calls himself an academic but he’s just a bullshitter.

Unless our press/media is seriously reformed, we’re doomed. Spivs and chancers like Goodwin will continue to dominate airtime and make pro-Reform points unopposed.

I was shocked at last week’s #BBCQT, it was shameful.
Matthew Goodwin, who is still welcomed by the BBC and other mainstream media outlets, now explicitly promotes a white supremacism identical to Enoch Powell's ("the West Indian or Indian does not, by being born in England, become an Englishman ... in fact he is a West Indian or an Asian still")

Freeports/SEZs, etc have been introduced by stealth because voters would be angry.
The EU is winding down freeports due to money laundering and tax evasion. Britain is expanding them.

The sad fact is that those students being fleeced, if they are financially successful, will vote to fleece other students.
