Shabana Mahmood's Indefinite Leave To Remain Culture War

3 years - if you're earning £125k+

15 years - if you're e.g. a nurse, or a teacher

Labour's two tier system which rewards high earners and insults those who work just as hard but don't earn as much - really sad to see Labour fall

They not only didn’t shout at him for showing no respect by not wearing a suit but Trump pardoned him too. I hope MBS said thank you enough or there’ll be ructions next time.
Maybe it wasn’t really about Zelensky’s suit after all? 🤨

Nathan Gill, former #ReformUK leader in Wales, prev. one of Farage’s fellow MEPs, pleaded guilty to accepting bribes to make pro-Russia statements while in the European Parliament.

Nigel Farage has his photograph taken with lots of people he doesn’t know.

As for RT, he probably thought RT stood for Radio Times - everyone loves the Radio Times.

Sir Brian Leveson was given a fait accompli and then told to make recommendations. This massive change to our criminal justice system is being imposed because of political decisions that have caused chaos in the justice system. It must not come to pass.

Cruel refugee policies didn’t work for the Tories, they won’t work for Labour.

They failed miserably in Australia too and turned them into a pariah.
Coverage of the refugee proposals demonstrates why we have such a broken political system. Endless focus on left-wing anger and right-wing support. Basically nothing on whether the reforms will work. They will not, which is why we'll still be here having the same debate in three years.

The idiots in charge of the Labour Party think Shabana Mahmoud is going to save them.

Whenever I’ve seen her speak and appear on shows like @BBCQT, she’s distinctly average. Combine this with deeply unpleasant and she shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near politics let alone in charge of a party.
Asked about Tommy Robinson supporting her asylum plans Shabana Mahmood replies that "Tommy Robinson doesn't even think I'm actually English, so he will certainly not be supporting anything I've got to say."

But he is supporting what she's got to say. That was the point of the question

I am also a descendant from refugees, Jewish, Russian, German, Dutch.

Mahmoud, the daughter of Kashmiri parents, shames us all with her rhetoric. My parents, and therefore me/my brother, would not be here if she, Starmer, etc had been in govt in the 1930’s.
My granddad was a refugee, my wife, our close friends and those of our kids are either immigrants or the children of immigrants.

Do ministers ever think about the message their rhetoric on "handouts" and "golden tickets" for migrants sends about whether this is a government for people like us?

When ministers, in the name of ambition, do this, you know they should be nowhere near power.

This is a sociopathic govt who are capable of sacrificing any group of people in exchange for a few votes - in this case, Tommy Robinson no less. They must be so proud of themselves.

Why have anti-terror police/MI5 not investigated Johnson over his trip to the Lebedev’s party when Foreign Sec? Surely, it would at least warrant an interview/debrief?

Have our security services been corrupted by the Tories too like the BBC?
Important time. This was a few weeks after the Skripal attack when May called out Putin, and Johnson went scuttling off without his security detail to meet Putin confidante* Alexander Lebedev in Umbria and plotted with Temerko to topple May
