From the Cato Institute; this one is worth reading.

Topline: "nonpublic data from ICE indicate that the government is primarily detaining individuals with no criminal convictions of any kind."

Don't let their lies dominate the narrative.

When I interviewed KKK leaders in Arkansas, this is what they said too. “We don’t hate anyone. We just love our own people.” Then they burned a cross.
“Social solidarity is destroyed when you have too much migration too quickly,” JD Vance tells our columnist Ross Douthat in this episode of “Interesting Times.” “That’s not because I hate the migrants or I’m motivated by grievance. That’s because I’m trying to preserve something in my own country.”

DOGE should absolutely be subject to FOIA. It has openly claimed and exerted independent legal authority. Trump has said Elon calls shots. They aren’t policy advisors. Congress just choosing to pretend DOGE isn’t using powers delegated to others is not evidence of anything but its own incompetence.

Very excited to see that Rohit Malhotra is running for Atlanta City Council president –– it's genuinely important that he defeats his opponent, who has repeatedly voted for Cop City, to keep the jail open, and to enhance criminal penalties.

Even Yellowstone National Park costs taxpayers one-third of an F-35 fighter jet each year.

It's literally the best fucking deal in the entire federal government - generating 50 billion dollars in tourist revenue every year for an investment of only $3 billion.

If you are wondering if police have always been like this, in the 1920's a young woman was robbing grocery stores around Brooklyn and getting press for it because she kept getting away. Despite falsely accusing at least four women already, the cops were given permission to "shoot on sight."
