Reflecting, not for the first time, that Perfect Strangers ran as a mid-list comedy series for 8 YEARS in the 80s and 90s with a main character who was a FACT-CHECKER at a Chicago newspaper.

8 seasons. A world where fully staffed publishing offices that hired full-time fact-checkers were imaginable
