After Trump tells NBC News he could maybe use a "softer touch" on immigration, we immediately get the "different tone" narrative from CNN.

Brianna Keilar: "A change of tone for the president. Softer touch."

David Chalian: "He acknowledged learning something that this requires a softer touch."

Remember the incident where DHS claimed officers shot a guy because he attacked them with a snow shovel?

Yeah. It didn't happen. They shot him through the door of his own home. And then arrested him. And then lied about it. Again.

And they almost shot some kids in the process.
They just blindly shot through the fucking door.

Hi. 25 years in Texas politics here. If this holds (it likely will), it’s an earthquake. A huge win for the @texasaflcio.org, and maybe even more than that a broader sign of the ground shifting under Republicans nationally.
Wow, buckle up.

The early vote just came in Tarrant County, and Democrat Taylor Rehmet is up 56% to 44% in the special election for a Texas state Senate seat.

This is a seat that went for Trump by 17%. This would be a huge upset.

This is already 45K votes.

Big props to the new leadership at the @texasaflcio.org who made this race a huge priority.
Saturday is today:
ICYMI: This Saturday, progressive Taylor Rehmet squares off against a billionaire-funded Christian nationalist for a +17 Trump state senate seat in Tarrant County, a hub of the far right. Rehmet already over-performed, and is confident he’s on the verge of a stunning upset in a bellwether county.
