The thing about Labour levelling up and giving money to ‘smarten up town centres” is that you can paint a shop all you like but if people have no money to spend in a shop because their bills are too high and shopkeepers can’t afford the rent then your town centre will remain desolate

Heathrow hotels quadruple prices as flight cancelled.

Stranded passengers at Sofitel hotel near the airport asked to pay £700 a night for a standard room.

Holiday Inn quadrupled prices.

Capitalists have no ethics/compassion. No regulator would investigate.

Boycott price gougers.

How labour's "moral case for welfare reform" is going.

Morality? More like mortality.

Don't let them hide behind the fiction they tell themselves. Confront them with the facts and make them squirm with reality. It's indefensible.
Reliable source at the highest possible level has just told me huge increase in calls to suicide helplines because of the threatened benefits cuts.

What the government can’t afford:

❌Lifting children out of poverty
❌Disability benefits
❌Compensation for WASPI women
❌Winter fuel allowance

What the government can afford: an extra £13.4 billion on the military.

Never any money for the poor. Always enough money for war.

It’s hard to overstate how catastrophic the streaming / cloud-based / everything is licensed and nothing is owned media landscape is. Burning books was one thing, there were almost always other copies. Now Amazon can just delete a book from existence and erase the fact it ever existed
Kindle is removing the download function in a week.

Fuck Amazon.
