About two weeks ago, I checked the @bhamwatch.bsky.social P.O. box before a board meeting to find the largest single unsolicited donation in the organization's history ($25,000!!!). It's unrestricted and it arrived at a pivotal moment as we consider the organization's future.

A sappy Christmastime post: food made with love is indeed better

And the bsky sicko twist: I mean love for the food, not people. You have to be enamored of the dish and look to impress and honor it.

This display can only be used by its included Mac. I've been thinking about Apple's relationship with computer displays lately. Maybe it was the report...

America was not founded to be a theocracy and it should not strive to become one.
When Washington crossed the Delaware on Christmas 1776, it wasn't in the name of Christian nationalism
As we approach the 250th anniversary of our founding, Americans must not let Washington's legacy and the nation's ideals get hijacked by wackadoodles.

Not exactly sure how to drink out of this, but the 14yo made the best coffee mug ever in art class (and turned it into a Christmas present). Glad to see we’ve been good influences on her.

I like being an uncle for the holidays because: Mom and dad are responsible, and will discipline you. Grandpa and Grandma are indulgent, and will coddle you. But the uncle... the uncle is unpredictable. The niece and nephew cannot know what the uncle will do, because the soul of the uncle is CHAOS

Excellent history lesson from @enbrown.bsky.social

All reasonable English-speaking peoples should commit today to singing “Fill the meadcup, drain the barrel”

Anyone else think Apple's icons for Journal and Shortcuts are way too similar? Shortcuts's icon makes more sense to me: it's a nice stylized "S". I don't even get what the Journal icon represents. Sheets of paper?

Russia has taken around a million casualties trying (and failing) to get through these defenses, and the Trump “peace” plan is for Ukraine to let Russia have it while claiming it’s not a big deal and Ukraine is wrong to say no and that the US won’t provide real security guarantees if they say yes.

- how women’s basketball and the 2013 San Antonio Spurs influenced him
- why he chose Auburn
- how much he loves defense
