I couldn't bring myself to watch Parliament today, I've seen more than enough sick shit to last a lifetime of late. Didn't need to have our complicity further proven, and I have no desire to witness yet another debasement ritual for Albanese.

Every now and then I am reminded that someone at the Daily Mail thought putting Peter van Onselen behind a paywall would attract subscribers.

In a side note, you'll be shocked *shocked, I tells ya* to discover the he remains utterly obsessed with criticising Grace Tame

Hey @albomp.bsky.social, I guess once you’re elected, you can just forget about the things you used to say.

If this wasn’t by AlJazeera, I’d find it hard to believe.

“Israel’s systematic use of internationally prohibited thermal & thermobaric weapons, often referred to as vacuum or aerosol bombs, capable of generating temperatures exceeding 3,500 degrees Celsius”
Israel used weapons in Gaza that made thousands of Palestinians evaporate
US-made thermal weapons burning at 3,500C caused 2,842 people to "evaporate" in Gaza, Al Jazeera investigation finds.

A word Labor have been forbidden to say.

Not saying genocide doesn’t make them any less complicit.

If youlive in or around Clarkefield, you need to shelter indoors NOW. It is too late to leave.

The #government has talked and postponed addressing the real issues for 4years and now has lost control of any credible debate ( like #LNP ). We had a landslide in. Now we need a BIG X-bench that MUST be negotiated with and no #duopoly control in the Senate. #auspol
How is it that @barbarapocock.bsky.social can have a range of possible solutions. However, the government seems paralysed apart from supply.

Problem is tax breaks and other forms of preferential financial treatment are being meted out to myriad cronies, bagmen and others. They seem petrified of Messrs Palmer, Rinehart and Forrest. Foreign owned miners and fossil fuel extractors are taking the piss

Rather than giving billions of tax breaks to wealthy property investors, the government needs to cap rents and invest directly in social and affordable housing, renting it to people who need it at prices they can actually afford.

Property investor lending increased by 31.8% over the year, the clearest sign yet that the worst of Australia’s housing crisis is yet to come. Renters are footing the bill for a market stacked in favour of investors, while their wages can’t keep up.

Just discovered $3 billion in extra nuclear sub spending between May and December $15.4B → $18.6B

Where's the $3 billion going? Defence: "Take it on notice"

That's enough money to build 10,000s public homes but for Defence it's pocket change they lost down back of the couch.
