“Survey after survey has shown that business owners overestimate how many customers drive to their stores vs walking or biking. In a 2012 Los Angeles study, more than half of the store owners on the bike-laned part of the boulevard thought most of their customers drove. The actual number was 15%.”
I read all the studies on the economic impact of bike lanes. Here's what I learned.
Research proves that bike lanes are good for business. So why do so many stores and restaurants still oppose them?

A large-scale experiment on New Year’s resolutions revealed that hose with approach-oriented goals were more successful than those with avoidance-oriented goals.

It's no longer left versus right or even Democrat versus Republican.

It’s now democracy versus oligarchy. Freedom versus dictatorship. Right versus wrong.

Millions are awakening to this new reality — and they're speaking up.

The sleeping giant of America is roaring.

E-bikes and scooters displace 4x as much demand for oil as all of the EVs in the world.

New year, same reminder: The recipe for economic growth isn’t tax cuts for the rich. It’s investment in our people — in health care, infrastructure and education — to build a strong middle class.

You don't grow the economy through trickle-down nonsense.

I was wondering what Mamdani's first executive order would be, and I'm not disappointed by this.

He has wiped off the books EVERY Eric Adams executive order issued on or after September 26, 2024, the day Adams was indicted on federal bribery charges.

Daily consumers of bottled water ingest over 90,000 more microplastic particles than people who drink tap water.

There are no warnings on bottles.

Either companies do not test their products, or conceal the harms to boost profits and exec pay.

What do regulators do?
Bottled water drinkers ingest 90,000 more microplastic particles each year
New review finds people who drink tap water ingest only about 4,000 microplastic particles a year

Our government would rather let these people die (remember they’re being held on remand for drawing attention to the sale and use of arms made in UK to Israel) than consider their requests. This government does not work for us. This government would do the same to you.
