There were literally congressional hearings where whistleblowers in the insurance industry cried while discussing being forced by superiors to repeatedly illegally deny payment for lifesaving care in the run up to the passage of the ACA. That’s what republicans want us to return to.

The only reason the Senate Rs push back on getting rid of the filibuster is that it gives them cover for all the budget BS. They can turn around and say, “See, it was bipartisan. See! The Dems voted for the CR, too…again.” Otherwise, they’re perfectly happy breaking rules, ie. judge appointments
