Just seen that the last celebrity guest at the last #InsideNo9 #StageFright yesterday was Bernie Clifton. How absolutely perfect.

Quite smug about getting that right.

Hoping to manage to get tickets for Warriors of the Deep at the BFI.

Oh course, when I say "Avengers", I mean John Steed stuff...
I don't have any nice culty calendars this year. Has anyone seen any good ones? Old stuff. DW. B7. Avengers. That kind of thing.

It's my weekday No Work Day today. I have either been asleep in bed or sat on the couch watching Allan Prior episodes of Blake's 7. I made the mistake of nipping out for quarter of an hour. I won't be doing that again.

TIL that Tom Baker’s reading of the Gremlins novelisation has an extra line not present in the book or the film, basically “frozen water doesn’t affect mogwai”.

I like to think that Tom read the rules, saw the subsequent pages of snow scenes, and withdrew labour until there was an explanation.

Do we know when tickets for this are on sale to members?
The BFI screening *is* Warriors of the Deep. I do not intend to add to today’s grimness by failing to honour gambling debts so both @lewisbaston.bsky.social and @jonarnold.bsky.social will get a shiny 10 pence piece.
If they’re doing the whizzy re-edit and sound mix on Warriors of the Deep (1) would this be the BFI screening and if so (2) to which of @jonarnold.bsky.social or @lewisbaston.bsky.social do I owe 10p?

All this talk people are having of more secret relationships on #TheTraitors... We didn't see the second envelope being opened on the second Uncloaked, did we? Was that just because the mother and daughter thing wasn't very relevant to those two players or was it something we don't know yet?

First shown in Scotland, at around 1530.

I remember thinking I'd never be home from school in time for subsequent episodes. Foolish boy.

There's no new Doctor Who until December, so how to fill the time?

I've come up with this Doctor Who Monthly Story Challenge!

Inspired by those reading challenges you see occasionally, but this is for Doctor Who fans to watch and share as we go through the year. Details below!

It fails as drama, science fiction, and it's hopelessly derivative. But you like it, and you're my friend.
Or we could just talk about Babylon 5 instead.

Oh, and please just be nice about it and Doctor Who as there are plenty of other places you can be otherwise.

Just finished watching all of the Jon Pertwee era Doctor Who over a 2 year period. Loved it.

Question for Whovians.

Have I imagined it, but do the opening recaps always go on much longer if in the previous episode there'd been some fancy fight choreography near the end?
