There are 242 working days in 2026. If you write just one page a day - just 250-300wds, roughly 5 Bsky posts - you will have two full scripts or a novel by New Years Eve.

If you write just two pages a day - just 500-600 words - you will have five scripts or one epic novel.

Just. Keep. Writing.

Earlier this year, Republicans tried to eliminate the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities in their 2026 budget, while proposing a 13% increase in defense spending. The Institute of Museum and Library Services just got their funding back through courts.

I am hugely excited about this new book. It is a tour de force of archival and analytical work, such an important topic, and beautifully produced. Congratulations, Catherine! @universitypress.cambridge.org #earlymodern

Literally had to go double-check, after seeing the reference to “dismal ticket sales” alongside the demand for $1 million in supposed damages, to confirm: It was a free concert.

I know it's all just bullying.....but hypothetically, if the Kennedy Center were in any way, shape or form setting things up so that the cancellation of a single free jazz concert in a 500-seater can cause them a million dollars in damages, they are fucking things up on an unimaginable level

A new year’s wish that we all start framing paying taxes as positive and patriotic contribution to a better world for all. Thank you Anthony Joshua! I’ve just paid mine too. They were quite a lot less than yours, but for some reason most historians don’t earn £68.5m.
He isn't "losing" this money. This is called "paying tax like a responsible citizen and not hiding your money offshore" and we need to start recognising and applauding it.

I aspire to this level of Dadness. I will never make it. But I will keep trying.
In 2023 I became obsessed with videos of dads in cargo shortswaiting in parking lots during Taylor Swift's Eras Tour. So when she came to town, I grabbed a camera and headed down to talk to them. I thought it'd be funny. It turned out to be something else entirely.
