It’s stuff like this that makes me think about how important union and protest songs are. The kind of powerful energy you can get in a crowd of people all singing the same thing
brass solidarity band performing “stand by me” in the streets of whittier next to alex pretti’s memorial. the crowd started chanting “the people united will never be defeated” so they incorporated it into the song. i love minneapolis

A list of things that scare ICE, in no particular order:

-whistles
-moms
-children
-actual ice, like the frozen water kind
-memes
-their certainty of dying alone and bitter while their ex and kids thrive without them
-cameras
-people in masks
-removing their own masks
-solidarity
-the future
-us
CNN: DHS officials have come to FEMA staff and told them to limit the use of the word ice…they are worried that by posting something like, watch out for the ice, that it's going to become a meme….

Essentially, what stops abductions is when crowds outnumber the masked kidnappers. When people aggressively follow ICE with whistles and horns, crowds are ready to show up. If they show up fast enough, ICE leaves and a family is not broken. (People here understand the stakes).

You did not bear the shame.
You resisted.
You bestowed the eternally vigilant symbol of change by sacrificing your impassioned lives for freedom, justice and honour.

at some point, someone is going to fire back, someone is going to loot and burn a collaborator business, someone is going to take radical action, and you gotta resolve NOW to stand with those people, not denounce them as "outside agitators" or "feds" or "criminals". don't sell out your comrades.

I'm obsessed, I want to know everything about him. What kind of materials did you use? What's the overlap in techniques between fursuit making and Inuit fur work like? Is he wearable?

I really really like that mouth shape, it makes him look wild and bitey.

I'll be sharing a few more fundraisers from the twin cities, and once again, I am only sharing those that are vouched for by people I personally know who are on the ground.

This is a bail fund that helps people who were arrested and are facing charges.

Ok, everyone, what book is sacred enough to you to get sworn in on?
Strange takes on Mayor Zamdani swearing his oath on the Qu’ran. It has nothing to do with church & state. The point of the oath is for the person swearing in to do so upon some text that is sacred TO THEM. Some Presidents swore in w/o any book. John Quincy Adams was sworn on a law book. His choice.
